At the discovery of rice terraces
Some of them date back thousands of years.
Rice terraces in Longji, Guilin :
They are considered to be the finest of China. At 80 kilometers on the North of Guilin, these rice terraces are located from 300 to 1100 meters high. I advice to sleep in a hotel near the rice terraces to enjoy a unique sunrise. To be able to enjoy this breathtaking show you will have to wake up around 4 am.
Enjoy these rice terraces all year long.
From half April to the end of June they are in irrigation.
From July to half September they are verdant.
From the end of September to half November, they are orange, gold.
At the beginning of January they are under snow.
Rice terraces in Yuanyang :
They were created by the Hani tribe more than 1200 years ago. Like the Logji rice terraces I advice to admire them during sunrise or sunset.
To make the most of these terraces I recommand you to go during January or February.
